Kubota Tractor Corporation partnered with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) to award farmer veterans with tractors. The gifts are part of the company’s “Geared to Give” program where four farmers received Kubota L- Series compact tractors. "This program empowers farmer veterans to achieve their dreams and make a true difference in their farming operations and in their communities," says Alex Woods, Kubota vice president of sales operations, supply chain and parts. "Kubota is proud to offer a token of our gratitude for those who have done so much for this
country through their military service. We are extremely pleased to help these farmers continue to
make a difference in their work for many years to come."
“Geared to Give” began in 2015 and the company has given 21 veterans equipment or other funding.
This year veterans were selected from each of Kubota’s four operating divisions: southeast,
northern, central and western. Learn more about the four farmer veterans selected this year:
Matt (Charles) Fitzwater served three deployments in the U.S. Army and is the owner
of Rainbow Harvest farm, a 10-acre direct to consumer or pick-your-own berry operation in
Kentucky. Randy Ramberger served in the U.S. army and owns 5-acre Ramberger Family Farms in
Indiana. "There will be times you will want to walk away from a challenge, but in the food and
farming industry you have people and animals relying on you to not quit... When you realize it's
not just about you that is when you take that motivation and push forward,” he says. Twenty year U.S. Army veteran Joel Heinzeroth owns 440 acres that comprise Heinzeroth Cattle Company in Oklahoma. The veteran grew up on an Iowa farm and plans to inundate his children in agricultural life. Cherri Marin is the program’s first Air Force veteran, where she served for 21 years. She
owns Sunshine and Reins farm in Oregon where she works on the farm and mentors others in ag.

"I feel like I am at the time in my life to live out my passion and become self-sustaining while providing others with great products and service,” she says. In addition to Kubota’s donations, Land Pride provided implements for each veteran based on their farming needs and Firebird Product, Kubota aftermarket accessory provider, donated canopies for each tractor. “We're thrilled to work with Kubota to help further the careers of our veterans,” says Michael O’Gorman, executive director of FVC.
